Leads are the heart of AbangHartanah. Capture every enquiry, give it an owner, and keep your follow-ups on track so nothing slips through.
Capturing leads
Leads arrive from your public capture forms or are added by your team. Each lead records the customer's details, what they're looking for, and where they came from.
Assigning & ownership
Assign a lead to the agent who will work it. Ownership keeps responsibility clear and drives each agent's follow-up list and reports.
Following up
Log every call and update as a remark on the lead, and move the lead through its status as the conversation progresses. Consistent follow-up is what turns enquiries into deals — the platform helps you see who is due for a touch and who has gone quiet. Your own follow-up record is summarized in the Lead report.
Remarks & keywords
Each remark is a dated note of what happened. Add one after every call or message — they build the lead's history, and they're what the platform uses to tell whether a lead is being worked. You can edit or remove your remarks, and set a remark's date if you're catching up on something that happened earlier.
If your organization has set up remark keywords, you can tag a remark from that list instead of free-typing the same phrases — handy for recording things like a document received or a site visit consistently across the team. See Category Bindings for how those lists are chosen.
The customer's profile (“sets”)
Beyond name and phone, each lead carries a short structured profile of the qualifying details you collect on the call — whether it's their first home, where they work, marital status, income, and any existing commitments such as a car loan, PTPTN or ASB.
You fill it in through a guided panel rather than typing free text, so everyone records the same things the same way. Each buyer gets their own numbered set: add a second set when a purchase involves a joint applicant, so both incomes and commitments are captured separately.
You can edit the profile from the lead's own page, or open it directly from the leads list without leaving the table. Anything you haven't filled in yet is marked as missing, so it's obvious what still needs asking on the next call.

Working from the leads list
Most day-to-day work happens on the leads table without opening each lead:
- Bulk actions — tick several leads and, in one go, assign them to an agent, set their affiliator, change their status, set the lead type, lock them, or delete them. Which of these you see depends on the permissions your owner or admin has given you.
- Schedule a milestone — book a viewing or the next step straight from a lead; it becomes a scheduled note on that lead's appointment. (Pro)
- Start a loan calculation — create a calculation for the lead and it is linked automatically, or jump straight into the calculator. Once a lead already has a calculation, that option is no longer offered.
- Summary strip — totals for whatever the current filters match (not just the page you're looking at): how many leads, how your follow-ups are going, and — on Pro — how many are booked or have an appointment coming up.
Finding the right leads
The filter panel narrows the list by status, type, source, assignee, affiliator, potential, and by date — and the date can mean when the lead was created, assigned, rotated, or last updated, whichever matters to you. You can also sort by priority, and filter to leads that changed hands early. Filters stay in the page address, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared with a colleague.
Lead statuses
- New — just created, not yet contacted.
- Contacted — you've made contact.
- Qualified — the buyer has cleared the loan-offer stage.
- Converted — the sale agreements are signed.
- Completed — keys handed over, the deal is closed.
- Unqualified — the lead didn't proceed.
Prioritising
Leads carry a priority indicator to help you focus on the ones most worth your time first. Use it as a guide alongside your own judgement. When a lead books a viewing or milestone, track it in Appointments. (Pro)
Importing leads from a spreadsheet
Got a batch of leads in Excel? You can bring them in at once instead of typing them one by one. On the Leads page you'll find three buttons: Export Template, Import Data, and Export Data.
Start from the template
Click Export Template to download a spreadsheet with every column already in place. Each cell explains what that column accepts and whether it's required, so you can fill it in without guessing. Replace the guidance row with your own leads and save the file.
Filling it in
- Only two columns are required — First Name and Phone No. Everything else can be left blank.
- Email is optional, but if you do fill it in it has to be a valid address.
- Choose-one columns (Type, Type 2, Status, Bumiputera Status) accept what you see in the app — “Fresh”, “New” — and aren't fussy about capitalization. Leave one blank and the lead gets the usual default.
- Affiliator and Assignee take a username. If the name doesn't match anyone on your team the lead still imports, just unassigned.
- Dates are day-first — 25/12/2026 means 25 December. Both 1/7/2026 and 01/07/2026 work.
- Remarks go one per line. If you keep the
[25/12/2026 14:30:00]stamp at the start of a line, that date is kept as the remark's date. - Sources is a comma-separated list. Use letters, numbers and hyphens only — anything else is left out.
Check before you save
After you pick your file the leads appear in a preview list. Nothing is saved yet — look them over, remove any rows you don't want, and only then confirm. If some rows couldn't be used, you'll be told which ones and why (for example “row 4: Phone No is required”) so you can fix those in the spreadsheet and import them separately.
Export, edit, re-import
Export Data downloads your leads using the same columns the importer reads. That means you can export a batch, edit it in Excel, and import it straight back without losing anything. Two columns are there for reference only and are ignored when you import — Calculation (a summary of the lead's loan figures) and Created By.
